Human Behavior

Human behavior is our way of behaving and learning and we can explain it in forms of our interactions with the environment. Human behavior and perception are generally responses to certain stimuli. It can occur either naturally or as a result of a learned response as well (What Is The Behavioral Perspective? Understanding The Relationship Between Stimulus, Response, And Behavior | BetterHelp, n.d.). Behavior and perception can be a crucial factor when determining the preparedness and response level of any individual or group against a hazard or disaster. In our paper, we have tried to focus on the behavioral practice and perception level of our study population to identify their knowledge, attitude, practice, preparedness and response rate against different dreadful situations like COVID-19, dengue fever, lightning, noise pollution, biohazard etc. In our research, we have tried to study the people’s behaviors and investigate the factors that determine the interconnected reasons behind their perception level.

For doing so, we have used KAP model to determine people’s knowledge, attitude and practice level, through which we have assessed their perception and preparedness level for our object. It is an effective method, through which we can easily identify the lacking in their behavioral pattern and perception. Upon doing so, we can analyze that and propose measures, regulations or policies that can help to fill the void. We have succeeded to do so in all our research, and we are looking forward to focusing on this aspect for other phenomena in coming days.
