Public Health
Public health is the science that protects and improves people’s health and communities. It is concerned with the protection the health of individuals as well populations as small as a local community, or as big as an entire country or region of the world (What Is Public Health? | CDC Foundation, n.d.). In our public health related research, we were concerned with the assurance the conditions in which people can be healthy and the prevention the disease outbreak. Also, educating people about the risks of different public health related concerns. Recently, the COVID-19 pandemic was a critical public health situation. On this concern, we worked on the perception, response rate, vaccination hesitancy of people from different classes in Bangladesh.
We also worked on Dengue Fever, which is another fatal disease in recent years. We have worked on the preparedness level of people against Lightning, which has also been declared as a fatal public rate concern due to high mortality rate in recent times. In our papers, we have used KAP model to determine people’s knowledge, attitude and practice level, through which we have assessed their perception and preparedness level for these public heath issues. We are looking forward to conducting more research on other similar public health issues using relevant methods. By doing so, we can assess people’s preparedness level and the lacking in it. If we are able to identify the lackings, then we will be able to propose appropriate suggestions and policies to address the issue.
